Our people
The team behind the trees
We’re a small team working with landowners, councils and communities to create and care for woodlands across the Tees Valley.
Matthew Snelling
Forest Director
Matt leads the Tees Community Forest team. He has a degree in Biology from Newcastle University.
Michael Bott
Woodland Advisor
Michael has a Masters in Agroforestry from Bangor University. He specialises in woodland design and woodland management, and leads our delivery team.
Julia Quinonez
Ecologist
Julia is a qualified ecologist with a wide range of specialisms, including Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) surveys and habitat assessments.
Owen Smith
Project Officer
Owen has a degree in Forest Management from the National School of Forestry and specialises in woodland design, silviculture and community engagement.
Mungo Leveroni
Project Officer
Mungo has a degree in Geography from the University of York and specialises in woodland creation and GIS.
Ren Walker
Finance and Admin Officer
Ren has a background in academic finance and keeps our team running smoothly.
